Advanced Aqidah

Course Description: This class will be a comprehensive introduction to the various theological controversies that appeared in early Islam, and the schisms and sects and trends that developed from those controversies. While the emphasis will be on the first five hundred years, we will also discuss some of the more important contemporary movements that exist in the current Muslim world. By the end of this course, students should have a good understanding of the reasons and bases of these controversies, and also be familiar with the common trends manifested in islamic intellectual history.

Hybrid Course: 10 online sessions on Tuesdays from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM CST.

Two intensive weekends:
